Marie-Luise studied inorganic and organic chemistry as well as pharmacology at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Germany. She obtained her doctorate at the Ludwig Maximilian University and followed this with two years of postgraduate work at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry in Munich / Martinsried. Marie-Luise’s qualifications as an attorney were the result of her work as a trainee at F. Hoffmann - La Roche in Basel, Switzerland.
