Knut Oberhardt joins Corinna Vossius IP Group in the capacity of European Patent Attorney and European Trademark Attorney.
Knut has been a qualified European Patent Attorney and European Trademark Attorney since 1987. He has been working in private practice since 2005 and is admitted to practice before the European Patent Office and the Office for Harmonization in the International Market.
Knut represents our national and international clients in numerous areas of intellectual property rights with a particular emphasis on patent prosecution, opposition proceedings, patent defense, due diligence, opinions on the freedom to operate and licensing.
His other areas of practice are employees' inventions law, drafting agreements including patent and know-how licensing agreements and, drafting collaboration agreements in fields of research and development.
Imaging technologies, mechanical engineering, equipment for agriculture and forestry, combustion engines, emission test systems, clutch/brake systems, IC test equipment, building techniques.
Education and Training
Knut studied physical chemistry engineering at the Munich University of Applied Sciences in Munich, Germany where he received his undergraduate degree in the field. He continued his studies at the University of Hagen where he received his degree in Law for Patent Attorneys.
After qualifying as a European Patent Attorney, Knut began his career in industry with highlights that have included his role as an in-house attorney heading up the patent department at a tier-one automotive supplier followed by a similar position at a worldwide operating photo equipment manufacturer.
